Marvel's latest animated film pits hero vs hero vs hero - The Hulk being the star of both episodes. Fans of Marvel will be treated to one of the best animations, not only in the Marvel Universe, but all animations. Hulk vs Wolverine is the first (and more popular) film...so let's start there, shall we?

=================
Hulk vs Wolverine
=================

This is, with out question, the more popular of the two films. Marvel takes us back to issue #181 - when they introduced Wolverine and goes from there...using Wolvie's classic guise I might add. Now I'm sure most fans would have perferred Hulk and Wolvie slug it out until one was left standing, but the film actually has a good plot. Marvel also includes the Weapon X storyline in the film. This was a great idea...since it adds some fan favorite villains - Sabertooth, Deathstrike, Omega Red, and Deadpool. Deadpool, however, steals the show with his perfectly timed wise cracks...not that the film needed it. Unlike previous Marvel animations, this spares the dialog and fills it with action. Wolverine is in classic form with his animalistic personality and snarling growl. If the film does have a downside it may be that it should not be viewed by the younger fans. Marvel did not spare the blood in this one.

============
Hulk vs Thor
============

Where Hulk vs Wolverine is the more popular one...Hulk vs Thor is the better story. Thor is big, strong, and a better match for the Hulk...but this Hulk has been parted from Dr. Banner (who comes off as a Revenge of the Nerds reject in both films) This creates a true God vs Monster match that even the Mighty Thor is not prepared to partake. Hulk truly does bring Asgard to its knees and ushers in a new Ragnarok. Try as they might...no one can stop the mindless rage of the Hulk...and this creates an unlikely union. Thor and his brother Loki traverse the underworld to try and reunite Dr. Banner with his tormented half (the Hulk) I'm not as big a fan of Thor...but all the sights and sounds and characters of Asgard are here...and all of it is needed to stop the big green wrecking machine.

Overall, this is a very good release from Marvel...it gives the fans just what they wanted. The animation style is done to near perfection and the storylines will lead the way for more "vs" in the future. While both stories feature the Hulk...the Wolverine story is grittier, funnier, and more action-oriented.....the Thor story is geared toward a plot-driven, emotionally-based romp through the mystical realm. Both, however, will satisfy the die-hard Marvel fans...and create new ones. I, personally, would love to see Hulk vs Silver Surfer...maybe next time.

What fun these two films are. Hulk VS Thor starts out with Odin going into a deep sleep once a year at which time the forces of evil descend upon Asgard to try to destroy it. Every year, however, their efforts are thwarted by Thor, God of Thunder, whose power is just too much for the forces of evil. Loki however decides to use the Incredible Hulk against Thor by separating Bruce Banner's conciseness from the Hulk entirely and to take control of the bruisers body. The battle that ensues between …

BOTH ARE EXCELLENT
      HULK VS      Being that I am a fan of Marvel Comics and just about every character that has come out of there you know that I had to have this. In fact I don't know why I have yet to review this up to this point. I remember seeing this on the shelf the day it was released and getting excited because I just knew this would be the best of the latest group of animated films from Marvel. So after calling my bro to come see this with me and since my girl …

I think the biggest thing to come from this release though is that everyone wants to know when Deadpool will get his own film. If he does get one you better believe I will be buying it, and I won't wait so long to review it either. But enough about that and back onto this, this is an excellent set that seems to be the first in a line of vs films and if they are like this one then they will all be successful. I highly recommend buying this, skip a lame rental.

"HULK VS." is a 2-disc special edition featuring "Hulk vs. Wolverine" and "Hulk vs. Thor" animated movies. Released from Lionsgate there are numerous previews, various audio commentaries, and of course the actual movies.    Disc 1 contains "Hulk vs. Wolverine" (PG-13) and is 37 minutes long. Hulk is tearing up the Canadian country side and Wolverine is sent to stop him. The movie opens with Hulk and Wolverine battling. After the title and credit sequence the movie goes back to …

Well not really being that into comic books and their characters (apart from the live action adaptations) I didn't really have high expectations of this, but I must say I genuinely enjoyed it. I have only managed to catch Hulk vs. Wolverine so far, but I will add my two cents in regards to Hulk vs. Thor when I've viewed that.    Hulk vs. Wolverine had a runtime by my calculations of around 37 minutes, so I really wasn't going to get a genuine plot or that much character depth. …
