I don't have a TiVo, but if I did, this stuff would be on it

Scattered between work, my girlfriend's place, and my VCRs at home, here is all the TV I record and, in the case of items lower down the list, never have a chance to watch
1
Terminator_The Sarah Conner Chronicles
Classic sci fi, with multiple timelines, interesting characters and character development, a plot where you never really knew what was going on, but were sure the writers did -- what else can you ask for? Oh yeah -- you can ask Fox not to cancel it :(
2
mad men
Brilliant acting and writing, coupled with incredible sets and direction. I really feel like I'm in the 1960s when watching this show. 4 of 5 Emmy nominations for writing went to the 13 episodes of Mad Men Season 2.
3
Lost
I'm a sucker for the multiple timelines, and a narrative which jumps through different timelines. I like the slow character reveals. The average episode can be pretty bad, but the really good episodes are just tremendous.
4
Psych (Manual)
10 great lines an episode, consistently funny, and characters that are really weird but not caricatures.
5
30 Rock
Funny and outrageous. I'm not attached to the characters in the same way as I am with the Office, which is kind of a mix of a drama and a comedy, but for pure comedic value, this is the show.
6
The Office
The brilliant writing and great acting make the Office. It helps that some of the writers also play characters (Kelly, Mose, Ryan, Toby)
7
House
I really like the medical mysteries, and the acting and character development are also quite good.
8
The Big Bang Theory

Hysterically funny, but some of the characters are getting a bit too one-dimensional

9
Damages
Great acting, overarching story plot with a higher level multiseason direction.

The first season was the best, but it is still worth watching
11
Supernatural
Didn't start out that strong, but has gotten consistently better.  I tend to like series with a single key writer.  The plots and storylines are actually complex and interesting, and the two main characters have some depth.

12
How I Met Your Mother
Funny with interesting characters
13
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Hysterically funny on the first day I start to watch it again, back to sort of an overdose by day 4
14
60 Minutes
Interesting interviews, great investigative reporting. However, I'm almost always deciding between spending an hour reading the Economist to get my news, or watching this -- and the Economist wins.
15
Fringe Poster
More for the potential than anything else.  I don't really look forward to each episode, but I have a feeling it might get better.
16
Dollhouse
It's a Joss Whedon series, but I'm not all that interested in it yet.  But, it could get a lot better.
17
Heroes
Was great, not it just seems like a caricature of itself.  One of those shows where you feel the producers don't really respect the audience.
18
Smallville
Was never great, now sucks, but only one more season, so ...
