Budweiser, not Bud Light, is by far my number one beer of all time. Call me white trash, redneck, or bro but it's still not changing my opinion. Don't get me wrong I've tried lots of beer from all over the place. I've ordered flights from different bars and restaurants to "expand" my beer palette but Budweiser is like that one girl or guy you keep going back to when all your friends tell you not to because there are better ones out there. Budweiser is a premium American lager that isn't too heavy or too light. Calories be damned, if you're drinking beer there is no way of avoiding calories, so why not drink a beer that taste like beer. I'm sure a large majority of you have already had Budweiser before, and if you haven't then you clearly missed the memo 100 years ago.
Who cares that they sold to INBEV, which is a Belgian company. Trust me, there isn't a lot that you wouldn't do for $52 billion. To sum things up here, Budweiser didn't change their taste or appearance after being sold, making them still the awesomest beer in America. If you don't like it, you can get out.
It makes a decent enough drink when there's nothing else available. Lord knows it's better than the awful Miller or the refined urine that Pabst Blue Ribbon tries to pass off as beer. It's the only major rice-based beer in the United States. But it's definitely worth the extra money to get a local brand, or at least something like Samuel Adams, a larger brand that tastes good.
