The Beer Snob
Turning up our noses at inferior beers

Acceptable only because it's average and inoffensive!

I was in a local pub a couple of days ago and, on my way out, I noticed the advertisement for England's Hobgoblin Ale:

"What's the matter, Lagerboy? Afraid you might taste something?"

TRAILHEAD LAGER is what these boys were talking about when they crafted that very creative and fetching ad for a uniquely favoured microbrew!

It pours a pleasant enough golden colour with moderate carbonation and a decent head. But the head quickly dissipates with no visible lacing remaining. The taste is slightly everything ... slightly malty, slightly hoppy, slightly sweet, slight citrus, slightly creamy and, in summary, intensely average. A really great beer served cold at an outdoor barbecue if you want to please everybody.

An inoffensive please everybody, offend nobody and knock the socks off of nobody kind of lager. The perfect choice to serve cold at a barbecue if you want to be sure that everybody will drink and nobody will gag! Pleasant to be sure but nobody's going to be awarding 5 stars!
