The Beer Snob
Turning up our noses at inferior beers

Victory Summer Love Ale

From Philadelphia's Victory Brewery comes Summer Love Ale. Its almost gone now. Its a seasonal and we are now heading into the winter seasonal beers. But my local liquor store in Baltimore still has one case left so I am still able to enjoy this great beer. It has a mild hop flavor with a fruity after taste. The official web site says it has a lemony after taste. I don't really agree. Its more of a grapefruit or apricot reminding me of a very light version of Magic Hat #9. It was a perfect beer for a hot summer afternoon out on the patio and now that we are into fall and headed into winter I am glad to still have a few bottles left before heading into the heavier winter seasonal beers. Its light in color and heavy in taste.
