Welcome to Lunch! The internet experience just got a whole lot better!

When I was first approached about becoming a contributor to Lunch.com back in November of 2008  I took a bit of time to survey the site before agreeing to come on board.  As I recall, my biggest concern was that much of the content appeared to lean in the direction of what I would characterize as "pop" culture.  Since my moniker is "The real world is so much more interesting" I wondered whether there would be any room on this site for what I enjoyed doing most, namely reviewing non-fiction books and anthology CD's.  I was also concerned about the fact that was I a good bit older than most of the people already on the site at that time.  I expressed my concerns to the individual who had sent me the invite and he assured me that Lunch.com was definitely interested in what I had to offer.  Over the past 20 months I have spent countless hours adding content to the site.  Thus far, I have been extremely impressed with just about everybody associated with the site, most especially the staff.  I have found that the people in the office are extremely responsive to any concerns that I might have.  Such a refreshing change from some other sites!    Likewise, I have found the caliber of person contributing to Lunch.com thus far to be outstanding as well.  Let's hope this continues as the site grows in the weeks and months ahead!
 

Being someone who has absolutely no aptitude for designing and building anything I have really appreciated how Lunch.com has evolved over the past two years.  And I am certain that the site it is only going to get better.  I love the way that fact and opinion on the data points are now side by side.  Everything is neat and clean and very visible.  Outstanding job!  So whether your passion is cooking, fishing, yoga or books this is the place to share your knowledge and expertise.  At the same time you can learn from others about subjects you would like to know more about.  Using Lunch.com's unique similarity network you are sure to meet lots of other people who share your ideas and opinions.  I have met quite a few already. 

All in all I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.  I am prodding more of my friends to give it a try.  I am convinced that those who painstakingly developed this site are well on their way to accomplishing what they set out to do at the outset.  Lunch.com is rapidly becoming the place to "feed your curiosity".   If you are considering joining us then by all means give it a try.     And don't be shy about jumping right into the fray by taking a poll, rating some data points or offering some quick tips.   You definitely won't regret it.     Very highly recommended!
