I read about this business through Lunch member TaniaGail and decided it's a good idea and exactly what I needed. That was back then in May. I then made an order in early June and all things seem to work well. Yes, the site offers a great selection of artistic background for the cards, yes, the price is a little higher than normal but not too exorbitant. And yes, it was even relatively easy to work around the software to have everything preorder.
That's what I thought when I sent my order and got charged for something like $50 for 2 stacks of cards. That's what I was willing to pay. It said on the site it took about 10 days or so for shipment to Asia. So, I even thought I was a little early to have the cards printed. Was informed the cards were dispatched on June 9 and was charged about US$10 for shipment fee, if I'm not mistaken. DHL was supposed to be the shipping agent.
2 weeks gone by, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 5 weeks, 6 weeks... damn, no cards in mail. Oh, I am not so patient that I waited until the 6th week before I wrote them. I did that in the 3rd week but was then conveniently informed that I'll only get the cards in 6 weeks. That's what the guy at the company said. They just found out it took that long! For $10, I am expecting Fedex service. I believe even the conventional post office took only 2 weeks or 3 weeks max for a not so prompt delivery. So, naturally I wasn't too happy. When it didn't arrived in the 7th week, I requested for a refund which the company did. All they simply said is my cards have been lost in the mail. Nothing else other than whether I'd like to have them reprinted. What? And wait another 6 weeks? Thanks, but NO thanks! Am I nut or something? As it is, I'm not very comfortable with all my personal details lying anywhere in the world!!! My only comfort is I didn't have any addresses printed on! It's a nightmare IF I've to resort to changing all my phone numbers!
I gave Moo another trial after the last undelivered order as I like some artwork by one of its designers and there was a discount of some 30%. From order to arrival, it takes some 3 weeks from London to Hong Kong. That is taking a tad too long as far as I'm concerned. The discount was only a few dollars after deducting the shipping cost. I'm generally happy with the cards, especially the postcards and the stickers. It'd be better if the shipping time could be a little shorter without … more
