I am one who judges a book by it cover, and when the cover has "Earth" or "Green" it will always snag a low rating, due to the fact that Green 99.9% of the time means it doesn't work.

Now to the product itself.Chlorine free? What is keeping the bacteria undercontrol? Babies, even for the most astute parent, gets diper rashand that opens a small child up to a serious skin infection. are they using a citrus dreivitive? hmmm lemon juice on a paper cut, youch!
I would cast a few questions out to everyone who seems to not remember their childhood. I am not remembering anyone recalling the torture of getting your backside wiped with the old style Wetones. Nor have I seen anyones backside being deformed because of the use of the previous old style product. I will stick with what actually works while the greenies uses twice as many wipes.

At first I thought other reviews of these baby wipes over-rated the product until I got to try these with our baby. They are so soft! The wipes from the hospital that say 'cloth like texture' on the package are almost like sandpaper compared to these. They also rated the least toxic on the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database. You see, my daughter's skin is so sensitive, using chemicals on her is what got her diaper rash in the first place. It got better the more natural we went, and disappeared when we switched to cloth diapers. You know they don't actually add chlorine to conventional baby wipes? It is just a byproduct of bleaching the material used. As far as I know, bathing children prevents infection quite well. ;)
As for green products not working, for me it is the opposite, 99.9% of the time they work better than conventional chemical products :) Did you have any particular bad experience with 'green' products?
