Deserving of 4 stars on the fun factor and just 2 on design, I’ve averaged it out to 3. My cats LOVED this toy the first day we had it, but I can’t say the same for myself. And within a few days, the only ball included for the track had managed to lose itself somewhere in my apartment – under the couch, or possibly behind the stove. It’s still yet to be discovered…
Creatively, the toy is a wonderful idea. It seemed to keep my cats attention for far longer than any other toy I’ve put in my house. Functionally, it could use some simply improvements.

With the 8 track pieces in the set purchased, I decided on building the figure eight track (above). It seems to be the coolest set up with the number of pieces included.
I was losing my mind within seconds of assembly …
Once together however, the track was a hit with my cats. With moments of piecing it together, my cats were all over the toy... hitting the balls around the curves and lying on opposite ends, swatting it back and forth at each other. I was going out of town the day after setting it up and hoped this could be a fun toy for them to enjoy while I was away. Unfortunately, although relatively sturdy once together, it fell apart quite a few times in just the first night (mostly due to light impact from the cats playing) and I knew I couldn’t rely on it staying together for the duration of my trip. The last time it fell apart, the one and only ball included came loose and my kitten swatted the ball around the house to be lost forever…
What seemed like a great idea for a cat toy, was executed and built rather poor. Yet, if you’ve got a whole lot of patience and don’t mind continually putting the pieces together, your cats will love you for it. Despite the difficulties, I'm happy with my purchase- hopefully Bergan will start throwing in some replacement balls. Although, I would have prefered to pay the $14 Amazon is now selling it for, it was semi-worth the $20 it cost me.
If your cats are into it and you've got the space- pick up additional track pieces to set the toy up in all sorts of fun patterns, like this one...

See it in action ...
