A Quick Tip by Madpenguin

Many folks regard the NES as the greatest of all time, and I do have fond memories of it. But too many times I was left disappointed. It would irritate me so much that my favorite arcade games like Double Dragon and even Street Fighter would be mercilessly butchered. Guardian Legend is the only reason I don't rate it lower.

While I do agree with the butcher jobs this is still a 5 star for me, had to many good times.

it had a lot of gems, but I remember it more for disappointing me like hell.

Ah yes...I remember this system...I hated when I got the blinking red power problem every once in a while. We usually blew inside the system to get it to go away...that or the game. Nice QT as always, Frank!

Thanks. Yeah, everybody went through that and it could be so damn annoying trying to get a game to play.

LOL! Yeah, it was hilarious! One factor about the NES that tied all users together...what fun times/memories!

I look at those memories as annoying more than anything else. Trying to get that thing to work use to make me so mad. I would forget about it and just go outside. In fact, that was the main reason I dropped the Nintendo altogether once Genesis came out.

I was always really patient and had a magic touch. 9 out of 10 times I was always able to get it to work again. We never owned the Genesis, but I remember playing it at friends' houses.

This is what some people rightfully think of when they hear "Video game" or "Nintendo" Many a day was spent playing this beautiful gray box and it's games.

This is the very first gaming system I had. Looking at it now, it looks seriously old school, but totally classic!

Here you can also write NES game reviews. This is what I had planned originally.
