About Me

I'm a freelance journalist and magazine editor who just moved to Austin, Texas from Santa Cruz, California. If anyone wants to hit me up with hidden gems (especially tips on where to eat) in ATX, I'd love it.

I spend my free time playing Flash games, obsessing over baseball stats, chasing down the newest and greatest indie bands, and reading old … more

Hi Chris! I just stumbled upon your profile and thought you'd be interested in fellow Austinite @leslie's review of Austin. How are you liking Austin compared to Santa Cruz? I absolutely love Santa Cruz, by the way. Spent many a college summers visiting UCSC friends there!

So far I'm loving Austin. Only been here a few days, though! Very different from Santa Cruz, even though both towns have a "keep it weird" slogan. Santa Cruz weird and Austin weird are NOT the same thing. :)
