Just the name Instant Coffee will make people think: old, stale, freeze-dried and 'not really coffee' coffee. This is different than the usual freeze-dried coffee in a jar. This is a 3 in 1 mix of coffee, creamer, and sugar. It is more like coffee flavored hot cocoa than Thai coffee which is very dark and usually consumed cold.
This is from DeDe brand from Thailand. Usually hard to find in regular stores - check a local Chinese food supply store for this product which is sold in a bag of individual packets.
You can drink this hot or cold - it mixes like a packet of hot cocoa. The taste is really good and does not taste like bitter instant coffee - the added sugar seems to take away from the standard bitter taste that comes with instant coffee. This is actually close to the Starbucks frappuccino in the glass bottle.
There are quite a few different brands of this available - the DeDe brand tastes the best.
A great coffee-on-the-go drink!

Ooooh, I love Thai coffee, so I'll give this a shot! I bet I can find this at Ranch 99.
