Eight O'Clock Coffee - Bokar Blend - A Must for Coffee Drinkers

This is a hard to find blend of Eight O'Clock Coffee with a taste similar to Kona coffee. If you have purchased Kona coffee before then you know that REAL Kona coffee is very expensive. This is a blend of coffee that is very close to the expensive Kona coffee.

The Taste: Semi-dry and sharp crisp tasting coffee. Very close to real Kona coffee.

This is the Bokar Blend in the whole bean format, which is the best way to buy coffee as you can grind the beans just before you are ready to brew. Look for Eight O'Clock Coffee in the black bag. This is one of my top recommendation for whole bean coffee.

I highly recommend you try Kona coffee so you will know how similar this is to the real Kona coffee. I found this on the shelves at Target once, but haven't seen it since! The price for a bag of the coffee beans was $3.49 - compared to Kona coffee at $20-30 a bag this is a real bargain!

If you love Kona coffee but cannot afford to buy it all the time then I highly recommend finding and trying this coffee!

Consumer Report rated Eight O'clock Coffee number one not too long ago. I agree, you can't beat it for the price. I live in a small town with little choice for good coffee!! I have paid as little as $2.29 a bag.

I've never tried Kona coffee before, but you've got me intrigued!  I'll have to keep my eye out for this the next time I'm at Target.  Thanks for sharing! :)

About this topic

Wiki

Bokar Coffee is a dark roasted coffee marketed by Eight O'Clock Coffee, which was first sold by the American supermarket chain A&P  in 1919. Eight O'Clock Coffee's Bokar blend is described on their website as "A select blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans, named for two famous coffee-producing areas in Colombia: Bogota and Cartagena. When ground extra fine, makes a spectacular espresso. Available in 12 and 36 oz. bags of whole bean coffee."

In 1979 A&P licensed its division Compass Foods, Inc. to sell Red Circle coffee to other retailers including competing supermarket chains. In 2005 the Tata Group took ownership of Eight O'Clock Coffee and the Bokar coffee brand.
