I just came across @nateandersen's review of Cinema Paradiso and thought you may enjoy reading it!

It's a shame how few of these I've seen. The one I want most to see is DEPARTURES, The ones I have seen are (of course) CROUCHING TIGER, CINEMA PARADISO (my daughter wouldn't let me alone until I'd seen that one), LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL, and THE VIRGIN SPRING.

What are the odds that I could convince you to post a micro review on a couple of these films in the Reel Overseas community?

The odds on micro reviews are pretty good.

Quite a few of these I still have to see, but there are a lot of good ones.  My favorites are Life is Beautiful and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.  I just recently saw Departures and rather enjoyed it too.  I'm hoping to check out more in the future.  I just saw some other one not too long ago called Day for Night or something like that.  I have to look up the title again, but it was from France and I really really liked that one.

I just watched The Sea Within tonight and will probably review and link it tomorrow. One that definitely belongs on this list.

Oooh thanks for putting this list together!  I'd love to hear your thoughts on these films, too :)  I've only seen five of these before, only one of which I'm not such a huge fan of (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

The list is here for input! Which films did you see and how would you rate each of them?
