My Egypt Top Ten

If you can only visit one site in Egypt, I recommend the Necropolis of Saqqara. The ancient burial ground is home to the first stone pyramid and contains ruins from centuries of Egyptian history.
2
Giza, Egypt
Home to the Sphinx, The Great Pyramid and an awesome camel ride across the desert. Well worth the money. It is unfortunate that the surrounding community has encroached so closely to this historic site.
3
Egyptian Museum
A disorganized but extensive collection of Egyptian artifacts. The King Tutankhamen room is breath-taking. See mummified royalty, too!
4
Radisson Blu Cairo
An exceptional hotel near the Cairo airport. Clean, luxurious and reasonably priced. A twenty minute cab ride from downtown Cairo.
5
Khan el-Khalili Bazaar
Get all your gift shopping done at the bazaar. Ridiculously low prices rule the day. Buy more than what you need...you will end up short when you get home...I did.
6
Felucca Boat
Take a relaxing ride on the Nile on a Felucca Boat. The boats are docked all along the river waiting to take you on an enjoyable ride up the river.
7
Two Museums, two Mosques and a Palace for the low price of nine dollars. A good value for some Egyptian history.
8
Coptic Museum
Very organized with interesting exhibits. I was disappointed that it did not relate the objects back to the manner in which the faith is practiced. I hoped to learn more about this ancient Christian group.
9
Egyptian Food
What's not to like? Excellent food, great prices, filling, enjoyable. The only drawback are the dangers of eating fresh vegetables or drinking tap water.

10
Plenty to do in and around Cairo. You can easily spend a week in the Lower Nile region.
