Of all the war comics that I read in my youth, one of my favorites was "The Unknown Soldier" for it was based as much on stealth and deception as in firing the guns and killing the enemy. Anyone else share this opinion?

The book definitely has a unique history. Joe Kubert was the artist on most issues, and it was reimagined in 2007 or so by the Vertigo label of DC Comics.

Vertigo is the label DC gave to its more mature books. I would not mind following up on this! When was the time period that you most read these issues?

For myself, I know the character but never followed up.
