Ina Garten has an amazing way of making even the most simple recipes (ex. hummus, roasted carrots) amazing. She provides very easy to follow step by step instructions for all of her recipes, and many even include pictures so that you can get a visual of how the recipe should actually turn out. I love Ina'a focus on simple entertaining, as well. Recipes like that for the Nicoise salad, provide simple and elegant ways to entertain that won't break your back. Additionally, I find that she often steers away from some of the cooking jargon that other Food Network hosts rely on.

I strongly recommend this book! You will not be disappointed.

Thanks Jaimie for this review! I am what you could call a cookbook addict. I have many, I use them occasionally. I am all for pictures though! Even when I started making Homemade Bread, the first 5 times I needed that recipe book by my side with the photo in my face - gives a sense of security ;)
