Belkin's 7 port Ultra-Slim Series USB 2.0 Hub is an easy way to increase number of devices that you can connect to your computer. It really is compact and slim, quite a change from bulky 4-port hubs I remember using not too long ago. In fact, it is so small that I've misplaced it twice! If you keep it in a black laptop bag or attaché case, it can be hard to see. The only thing keeping it from being truly ultra-portable is it's rather large and heavy power brick. Thankfully, I've yet to need it, though I tested it and it does work fine.

Aside from those two complaints, I'm really happy with this USB hub. It slips easily into my laptop bag and doesn't take up much desk space when in use either. I like that it is truly plug-and-play and works between the Windows and Mac platforms without complaint. So far, I had as much as 2 thumb drives, once camera and a MP3 player hooked up to it at one time, and they all worked fine. Granted, the USB port on my computer(s) is powered, so your results may vary.

Currently, the Ultra-Slim Series USB Hub isn't exactly inexpensive when compared to the competition, but you are paying for the convenience, ease of use and slim form factor. In my book, those pluses make it worth the premium.
