Prepare for a great game in the excellent Campfire Legends series and have your bifocals ready if you need glasses, as the hidden objects in this game are devilishly camouflaged. You are sucked into this drama little by little as you baby sit a pair of twin girls one of whom is disfigured in a weird way. You begin by making the twins hot chocolate and progress from being a general factotum, handy man and maid, picking up and mending stuff the twins have broken, to being a detective on the trail of the very nasty Hookman.
Although the story is not terrifying, it's creepy and makes your skin crawl a bit. It might even make you want to scratch something. It is also amazingly believable and you will be grabbed by a miasma that you can feel.
The graphics are excellent and all the objects you unearth will be used in some vital way to advance the plot. The hidden warrens under the house will test your ingenuity in many ways. Atmosphere swirls about you as tanks drip acid, walls ooze slime, cockroaches skitter, well-fed rats munch and you can practically smell decay while your senses are engaged by the eerie music.
The mini-games are first-rate, original and HARD. Your little grey cells are going to get a workout. To access hints you have to find fireflies which are distributed randomly and they're not lit and are hard to see. Three fireflies have to be collected to skip each mini-game but these puzzles add a lot to the play value and I think you will find them gratifyingly difficult but not impossible.
Don't miss this one, a huge bargain at $3.49! It is available for instant download on Amazon.
