HOURS later...

My 7-year-old son got this as a gift for Christmas, along with a DS and 3 other games (Zelda, and a couple of older Mario titles, I think). This is the game he played right out of the box and continued to play for the next couple of days - whenever he could, and for as long as he was allowed.

Honestly, this game had mainly been purchased as "filler", believing that he would start playing Zelda first and not ever end up getting around to this one (at least, not for a while) - and with the price so much cheaper than many other DS games, it seemed like a decent pick.

I take great pleasure in admitting that I was wrong - this game has been well worth the purchase. Considering the cost and the amount of hours played already, it turned into a flat-out bargain!

I cannot go into details regarding the game itself, as I have not played. Besides, I believe that others have covered most of that in depth. But what I can say is this - the game was not too complicated (he tried Zelda but initially had a hard time getting the hang of it), he played for as long as he could, and I kept hearing giggles during game play. All of those together tell me that it is well worth the 4 stars (not educational, or it would have gotten 5).
