Works Great, but is it Worth the Price

Full disclosure: I received this free for Vine review purposes.

That said, we were definitely in the market for an additional guitar for our xBox 360 Rock Band game.

I cannot in anyway complain about the performance of this item. In fact, for me, I enjoyed playing guitar/bass more than normal because of the psychological impact playing on a more 'real' looking guitar has on me.

I like pretty shiny things.

Though I don't play above novice myself, I did like the added feature of the 'wave' bar, as I call it. I believed it enhanced my score during the power portions of play, but I'm not entirely sure. It certainly enhanced my enjoyment of the game.

My husband, who's more interested in these things, swore that this device was of superior performance quality to the original wired guitar, so I'll take his word for it.

As for the price: I'm not a gamer. I don't understand how some people can spend so much money on their equipment and setup (like my 17 year old brother). So there is no way I'd pay over over $60 for a spare guitar just because it looks fancy.

But I know people who do and that's cool for them.

If you're going to blow nearly $200 for a new wireless guitar controller and are really into replicas, then this just might be the item for you.

This guitar is ugly. Maybe the Sunburst looks better, but the butterscotch is just ugly. I get that they are going for a worn wood look, but it's just not happening. This finish looks like a child's art project gone wrong. It's like someone covered the guitar with different types of freezer tape and then tried to stain the whole thing. The guitar does kind of look like a paper mache piƱata. Perhaps that's why I want to hit it with a stick?    The price point of this guitar falls …
