Be The Envy Of Your Guitar Hero Friends

  • Dec 31, 2009
If I could describe the Logitech Wii Wireless Guitar Controller in one word, I'd have to say "impressive." At first glance, the untrained eye might mistake this controller for an actual guitar. It's that realistic looking. From the metal frets to the wooden neck and all the way to the traditional electric guitar body design, this controller looks and feels brilliant.

I tested this particular controller against two Guitar Hero games. I first used it on "Guitar Hero Metallica" and found that it responded extremely well. It worked just as well as the standard Wii Guitar Controller in all aspects but felt much, much better in my hands. The fret buttons are rather quiet as the packaging claims, but I could still hear them at certain points in songs, particularly songs like "Tuesday's Gone" and "The Unforgiven." However, this doesn't particularly bother me due to the fact that the controller responded so well.

The second game I tested the controller on was "Guitar Hero World Tour." While songs like "Stranglehold" and "Crazy Train" offered a great challenge, the controller held up much better than I did.

While the controller and its performance are very impressive, I found that the envy directed toward me by friends felt almost as good. As I've already stated, this controller looks and feels brilliant, and the standard controller pales in comparison to it. My friends were quite jealous.

In summary, the Logitech Wii Wireless Guitar Controller meets or exceeds all expectations when compared to the standard Wii controller. It's a good looking controller as well. If you really love Guitar Hero and want the full video game "rock star" experience, get your hands on Logitech's Wii Wireless Guitar Controller.

Highly recommended.

My husband loves Guitar Hero. I however do not love the click-clack that comes from him pushing the buttons and hitting the strum bar. While the price for the guitar is high, if your loved one enjoys playing and you enjoy the music but not the clicky-clack noise, this might be the answer.    From my husband:    This guitar feels very similar to my real electric guitar. The weight is right and putting the star power button where the pickup would be was just …
