With a few more tweaks to certain overpowering combos (energy sword/shotgun + active camo loadout), Bungie could have a well-balanced hit.

I'm a moderate fan of the Halo franchise and I'm happy to be one. Bungie never seems to disappoint when it comes to creating a gung-ho, action-packed, science fiction universe in which aliens are just as good at building intimidating firearms as humans are. For some people it's the engaging storyline that pulled them in. As expected, my first foray into the Halo Reach online battles was... discouraging. The maps look great even though I spent most of my time "respawning".

Halo Reach was released at midnight, so I'm already 16 hours behind the competition!

I don't have the patience or skills to hang with the online community, so I'm hoping for a robust single player campaign. However, I'm anxious to see the custom maps that the community comes up with.
