I think a lot of people had gripes with Mass Effect 2. I did think it was a bit simplified compared to the first, but still came out of the experience satisfied. The storyline, to me, did not seem nearly as engrossing and the majority of the game is not devoted to furthering the story, but in collecting members for your team.

Mass Effect was one of my favorite games in the last few years, it has an epic story, well developed characters, and is just fun to play.  So it would be tough for Bioware to follow up on the sequel that will be equally impressive, and Mass Effect 2 was recently released, and it not only is a worthy successor to the first game, it improved on almost every aspect imaginable, even though it's only early in the year, this will probably be my game of the year.      The story …

Mass Effect 2 (PS3) Review: Was It Worth The Wait?
I have to admit that as a PS3 gamer, I never thought I would be writing a review for Mass Effect 2, but this just goes to show that anything is possible. Mass Effect 2 was released on the Xbox 360 more than a year ago to critical acclaim, and had PS3 gamers wondering what all the fuss was about. I’m here to tell you that there are tons to fuss about and Mass Effect 2 is one of those special games that you just have to experience for yourself.      Read our full Mass Effect …

In 2007 Mass Effect came out and changed the landscape of the RPG.  Perhaps the only really huge problem I had with the first Mass Effect... was that it was just too short.  The story could be completed really quickly, and I was disappointed that the game had to end.  Even more disappointing was having to wait so long for a sequel.  But it's totally worth it.  Mass Effect 2 outdoes the first game in just about everyway.  Improving on just about everything.  …

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF A NON-SHOOTER:  As I said 3 months ago with Dragon Age Origins review, that title marked my first return (and a beautiful experience that has been) to computer roll playing games. I tried Doom briefly years ago, but just didn't find it very interesting.    Based on the richness of Dragon Age Origins and the teaser during the NFC Championship Game, I eagerly awaited this hybrid RPG-Shooter. As promised, the game was delivered the day of rollout. …
