The Girlfriend Review

My normal involvement in video games is limited to watching my fiancé play them, or occasionally taking the player two role. That doesn't really work with a DS game. There are two things I look for in a DS game. I want a game that is fun but one that is also not too complicated. Ninjatown fulfills both of these requirements easily.

This was a gift from my brother-in-law. He knew I really enjoyed PixelJunk Monsters and he thought this game seemed just my style. He was right. The levels were straight-forward and the game difficulty progressed in a manner that was easy to follow. The game got more complicated, but never got so out of hand that I didn't feel like I was able to keep up. It utilized the DS features well, with special moves that had me blowing and screaming into the microphone. Some levels were easy to be, some took more a few tries. Overall, the game was a lot of fun. It was difficult enough to be challenging, but not frustrating.

The story is a basic good versus evil tale. You're a Ninja, Devils are coming to steal your cookie recipe. Cute enough for you? As stages are completed, the enemies develop new types of troops, but fear not! The call to arms to protect the cookie recipe means that more types of ninjas will join the battle as well! Muti-tasking, strategy and speed will all be necessary if you are going to save Ninja Town from all that is evil!

Use your ninja skills and powers to project Ninjatown! Filled with non-stop action,Ninjatownis played from the top down, where the player uses the stylus to strategically place Ninjas to defend each area.

Based on the Shawnimals designer toy line,Ninjatownis nestled quite literally between a rock and a hard place. A diverse group of fun-loving Ninjas populate the vibrant yet peaceful place known. However, after the eruption of a nearby volcano, Ninjatown is attacked by hordes of sinister enemies lead by Mr. Demon, who, for reasons unknown, is bent on destruction. With powers like the Mighty Wind of Ninja Dropping and Stealth Hugs, you can fight off the evil and secure Ninjatown, one district at a time. Other moves include Fists of Tickle Fury, Candy Smoke Bomb, Heart Star Explosion, and many more. Each Wee Ninja type is said to have its own set of moves.
