My personal "classics" reading challenge for 2010!

By any standards, I'm a voracious reader. I don't believe it's hyperbole to suggest that I've devoured over 5,000 books in my lifetime and yet, sadly, I find myself to have been sadly negligent of the literary classics genre. I've set myself a goal in 2010 to read one classic a month and, for no obvious reasons and in no particular order, these are the ones that I've selected. Does anyone care to join me?

What did you think of this list?

Interesting and I must admit that I'm a bookworm also but I have only read two of those. Three men in a boat which I liked and Frankenstein which I did not. Men in a boat was light hearted and humorous but what I found so boring with Frankenstein were those endless oh so Romantic descriptions of landscape which the book is full to brim of. I can recommend a DVD with Three Men, It's a BBC version made in the 70's and stars Tim Curry and Michael Palin. I bought it from amazon.co.uk this year and it was quite fun and beautifully made.
