Rock Music that will see the 22nd Century!
I think we can all agree that Mozart, who was wildly popular in his own day, had the right stuff. Here we are, fully 350 years later, still humming, singing, playing, arranging and recording Mozart's music. And darned if it doesn't seem as fresh and as exciting as the day it was written. I think we can also agree that it's only a matter of time before nobody will know what you're talking about if you mention songs like "Disco Duck" or "Billy, Don't be a Hero".
Well, the point of this list is to be a futurist and to have a stab at predicting those rock composers of the 20th and 21st century whose music will make it into the 22nd and 23rd century and beyond. I think it's a mighty short list! At that time, of course, they'll be accorded the somewhat more lofty and, oftimes pretentious title, of being classic composers. See if you don't agree with me!
