Top 10 countries on my lifetime travel "bucket" list!

1
Egypt
Pyramids, the sphinx, the Sahara desert, 10,000 years of history, travelling on a felucca down the Nile River, Temple of the Kings, Karnak ... need I say more?
2
Ireland
The sea, beautiful green countryside, hospitality, Celtic music, Guiness beer and beautiful red-headed colleens to smile at you! How can it miss?
3
Kenya
Unforgettable wildlife viewing opportunities, hiking on Mt Kilimanjaro, the chance to see a modern city in Nairobi and Mombasa, a beautiful beach city on the coast of the Indian Ocean. How many different holidays can you combine in such a single small beautiful country?
4
Zimbabwe
Two words ... Victoria Falls!
5
Turkey
Istanbul straddles two worlds in two different ways. With one foot in the east and one foot in the west, the culture shock alone would make Turkey worth a visit. But Turkey also has one foot in the past and one foot in the present ... archeology and history mingles beautifully with the amenities of a modern city, beach resorts and world class outdoor destinations and scenery.
6
India
Jungles, mountains, food, scenery, temples, beaches, crowds, history all wrapped up in a package so different and exotic that it's difficult to find adequate words to describe it!
7
Iceland
Volcanoes, thermal activity to rival Yellowstone Park, mountains, glaciers and outdoor scenery the equal of any in the world! What's not to love about a hiking and climbing outdoors-oriented vacation in Iceland?
8
Peru
Cusco, Pisco Sours, Macchu Picchu, a city vacation in Lima and a hiking vacation in the Andes. Top that off with the Inca culture and history and you've got a combination that's pretty difficult to beat.
9
Antarctica
What self-respecting camper, hiker, climber, canoeist, kayaker and outdoor lover wouldn't have the Southernmost continent on their lifetime travel list?
10
Norway
The Arctic Circle, Lapland, Northern Lights, skiing, hiking, mountains, glaciers, astonishing fjords and a beautiful hospitable people who really like their beer! Sounds just like my kind of place.

What did you think of this list?

Reversing the order of the list would be better, imho :-) esp. if you like nature.

LOL! Apparently, we were both wishfully thinking about going on a vacation. I just made a list of 10 famous landmarks and tourist attractions that I'd love to visit.

I've never traveled to any of these countries before, so your bucket list of travels is mine, too! ;P Thanks for sharing, Paul!
