Blizzard movies!

After being snowed in for so many days with dozens of inches of snow outside, I got inspired to stack up some of my favorite films with snow themes. If you're still snowed in, or if you have no snow and are feeling left out, check out some of these titles.

If you have kids, this may be a more appropriate winter movie to watch. Also a classic and much-loved story.

What can I say? I'm a softie for the Walt Disney classics. And Cruela Da Vil is a fabulous villan.

If you're on the vampire kick, check out this Swedish film for some quality filmmaking and vampires in the snow.

The Shining is a scary one and definitely captures the feeling of being isolated in a remote, snowy world! Great list idea! Glad you survived the blizzard:)

Haha, nice theme for a list, Heather! I was expecting more Christmas-y movies, like Home Alone and Christmas Story, but these are friggin' awesome as well! :D

By the way, I hope you're surviving DC! I have a friend who lives there, and he just sent me a picture of his entire car covered in inches of snow! He obviously didn't make it to work :P

The Christmas fun was in the FIRST blizzard. Now we're SNOWver it! Thanks for the warm thoughts, we survived with some good recipes, tasty wine, and thankfully very short power outages. I'll have to make a new list of blizzard survival techniques. ;)
