My Tivo List

  • Aug 25, 2009
That is, if I had Tivo, and still had a TV.  I know, I know, I shouldn't be Tivo-ing this many syndicated shows, but I can't help it if I'm stuck on mostly 80's and 90's shows.  They're awesome!
The Simpsons
I practically grew up on this show and quote them all the time. Mostly Homer and Ralphie!
As a human sexuality student, I dreamt of being Carrie Bradshaw! I love the dynamic of the quad of women. They're all so different, yet are able to connect through being TMI about their relationships. Every girl needs a group of friends like that!
Two and a Half Men
Charlie, Alan and Jake make for a total mishap of a team, but I totally love watching them clash and get on each other's nerves. I totally love Charlie's relationship with Berta.
The Nanny
Sure, Fran Drescher's voice is kind of annoying, but I think this show is so cute! Her mom and grandma on the show are great and I love how she found true love with Mr. Sheffield. Mostly funny and cute, but has its deep, thought-provoking moments once in a while.
Golden Girls
I loved every Golden Girl! Is this what it's going to be like for me in 50 years? Uh oh, I feel the theme about to get stuck in my head...
Mama's Family
One of my favorite dysfunctional families on TV. I love how generations live in that house and all the Southern names that the characters have. Oh, and the nickname Bubba!
Law & Order Criminal Intent
The cheesy theme music to this show totally adds to its awesome factor. Goren and Eames make for quite the team. Then there was that one period where Goren went off the deep end...
The Venture Brothers
"My no-nos hurt!" I love this show so much. They don't have enough new episodes though. The boys are so 70's and loser-ish, it hurts. I absolutely love Triana Orpheus though, and dress up as her for costume parties!
Desperate Housewives
My guilty pleasure! So much unrealistic drama yet still so thought provoking. Can't wait for next season to start :)
Family Matters
"Did I do thaaat?" I love how Steve Urkel can turn into Stephan Urquelle *swoon* I wonder what would happen if I went through that machine...

What did you think of this list?

Big secret (though not so much anymore), I was a fan of Sex and the City.  There I said it!  And Desperate Housewives.  And as a kid people used to tell me all the time I looked like Urquelle.  Actually, I still sometimes get that... and I'm 22 now.  Those were stranger days.  I still have The Simpsons on my DVR list, though I'm not a big fan of the newer episodes (I have a review of the show somewhere...).  This is a fun list... we actually watch similar shows.

I know a few guys who are into Sex and the City, but it takes guts to admit that you like Desperate Housewives! Hmmm, I can see a slight resemblance to Steve Urkel :P Very cool to see how our TV shows lists compare. I bet our video games ones would be pretty similar, too!

Oh there's a lot of chick stuff I watch and enjoy.  If I actually took time to review all the TV shows I watched I'm quite sure someone would mistake me for a woman if I didn't have a profile picture of some sort.
