Every once in a while, a catastrophe strikes that will remind us how lucky we are to be alive- to have been in the right place at the right time, even if it doesn't feel like it. When those catastrophes strike, such as the recent 7.0 earthquake in Haiti, the poorest nation in the entire Western Hemisphere, it can be overwhelming.
Haitians live on under $1 a day and half of them are under the age of 21. Many high standing officials are reported dead and/or missing. Their National Penitentiary has collapsed with reports of inmates escaping. The reports of dead/injured are upwards of 100,000 as of this list. With all this being thrown at us, it's easy to be overwhelmed.
We want to help but, don't know how or where to go. Below is a list of aid agencies for the Haiti earthquake- think about giving up your morning coffee for a day and give to the much needed aid relief for Haitians.
