I taught full time in grade school (1 year), high school (8 years) and college (7 years) --first Spanish, then social studies, then history. After I earned my PhD (in history) at Yale, I moved into administration. By accident I soon found myself the first dean of students at a new public college in New York. Twenty years later, I retired 1st from the Cal State system and then from Zayed University (Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) --I'd spent twenty years as a chief Student Affairs officer and in each of the three institutions where I worked, I'd been the very 1st CSAO the institution had. I now write (140+ reviews last year), act (3 plays to date this year, w/ a 4th on the way), cook, and mess around. I've collected jazz for 61 years, cooked for 40 some, and I devour books, records, and, as much as I  can, experience.
