Pledge Furniture Polish Orange - Keeps my furniture looking like it just came yesterday.
Jul 30, 2011
I picked up Pledge Furniture Polish on a whim, when I was searching for products to keep my expensive leather living room set looking sharp. I tried the original, as well as the wipes, but I never cared for the average smell, and I wanted something a little fresh. Orange scented Pledge pretty much gave me what I wanted. The spray is listed to perform the following:
-Cleans and removes dust, dirt, smudges, and common allergens in dust from dust mites, pet dander, and pollen
-Protects from water spills and stains
-No wax formula, no residue build up
It's described as being safe on all finished sealed woods, and is also great for: stainless steel, leather, marble, and granite. So far, I have only used it on wood and leather, and I'm pleased with the results.
When applying the spray to leather, it doesn't leave behind a strong residue or anything, and it's very easy to wipe in using paper towels. I have been using it now for three years when I first got my furniture, and everything still looks as new when it first arrived. The shine is very nice and lively, and the orange scented smell leaves the entire living room smelling nice. From I noticed, the shine lasts for maybe more than a week, but I use it every 7 days. The smell sticks around for maybe 2 days or so.
When using the spray on wood, the results are still the same. But the only issue that I have is that it leaves behind a residue. It's really nothing much though, all it takes is a few more wipes with the paper towels, and the shine it leaves behind is magnificent.
The spray is listed to: renew, shine, and condition. I think it does just that, and I will stick to this product until something better comes along. Also, be sure to read the directions. It has some info people should be aware of.
Pros: -Nice smell, has furniture looking new
Cons: -Leaves a residue
