Home Depot is introducing itself to the next generation of do-it-yourselfers - and bringing their parents into the stores - by offering a monthly educational program for children 6-12 years old.
Conducted by company volunteers, the Home Depot Kids Workshop is a free, hands-on seminar that allows youngsters to complete their own woodworking projects, which come in pre-cut wooden kits and require about 30 minutes to complete, The kits get the children started on such projects as birdhouses, foot stools and tool boxes.
