What do you enjoy doing during the summer months? In this list I offer you a varied list of summertime activities to consider. With Memorial Day just around the corner I thought that now would be a great time to start thinking SUMMER! As usual, I offer this list in no particular order.
A big favorite here in New England. We have several minor league franchises here in New England, three of which are affiliated with our beloved Boston Red Sox. Lots of fun and very reasonably priced!

Fishing never was my cup of tea. When I was a Big Brother I went on a bass fishing trip with my Little Brother. The man who owned the boat had one of those fish finders. The fish had no chance. What's the point? And once I went deep sea fishing with some guys at work. I got sick and it took me the rest of the weekend to recover. Count me out on this one!
For those of you who have never been to a polo match I urge you to give it a try. i find it to be one of the most enjoyable and relaxing summertime activities around here. Relatively inexpensive and extremely family friendly. Your kids will love it.

A great way to get out of town and enjoy a hot summer day. Where I live we have outstanding salt water beaches and some excellent state parks with fresh water beaches. Personally, I prefer fresh water because there are trees and you can escape the hot sun when you wish.
Amusement parks were all the rage in the when I was growing up. I was never a big fan myself. Many locally owned and operated parks have disappeared over the past 20 years and havely largely been replaced by regional mega-attractions like Disney World and Six Flags.
Always enjoyed playing volleyball. It's a game where people of all different abilities and ages can play together. Great family fun at an outing and I imagine lots of fun for those who play the game seriously as well.
For me the main reason to go to a fair is the food. Love munching on B-B-Q ribs, fresh, hot corn-on-the-cob, fresh squeezed lemonade and maybe strawberry shortcake or some homemade pie. Theres something for everyone at the fair!
I guess I would qualify as a frustrated writer. My work requires very little writing and so since 1999 I have been writing reviews on non-fiction books and anthology CD's on amazon.com. I never could … more
