80 Minutes Late

  • Feb 8, 2009
I like Domino's Pizza more than other chains here, due to the quality of its pizza.  I particularly like the thin crust, not so starchy - but for those who prefer something more filling you will like the pan pizza better.

Domino's Pizza is less oily, feels healthier after eating.

However, I was quite disappointed with the recent order.  It was Christmas Eve, and I ordered 2 pizzas -- which ended 50 minutes late.

Although they gave us a free pizza voucher as token of apologies, I am still very disappointed for few reasons:
1) They did not call to inform of the late delivery.  I wated 40 min, called up to enquire, then they admitted there was a mess at their end, but assured me that my pizzas were on the way and would be at my door step SOON.  I waited another 40 min for it to arrive.  The original pomised time was 30 min!

2) The free pizza voucher given to use, require us to purchase a large pizza.  If they really feel sorry about it, they should just give it free, without condition!

But I will still give them another chance.  If they fail again, I will switch brand...  :p

Oooooh, 80 minutes for a pizza delivery?  That's ridiculous, even if it is Christmas Eve!  I don't know about higher quality, but you're right about how Domino's Pizza is less greasy and feels healthier to eat.  Sometimes when I'm slightly health conscious and still craving pizza, I order the pizza with extra tomatoes and have it light on the cheese.

When I'm feeling less health conscious, I go for the Round Table :D

Hey there, I too really like Domino's but they've got some shady business practices. And depending on their mood, they will or won't deliver to our area. Just make up your mind so we know what to expect! I guess they have commitment issues...

A new kind of mediocre
Dominos for a long time had been a long time runner with Pizza Hut for nationwide pizza delivery restaurant francise.  Pizza Hut was gourmet and pricy and Dominos was cheap and, cheap.  With more chains showing up, Dominoes kept up by offering new menu items like chicken wings and breadsticks but it's pizza suffered.      Dominos listened and ran a major ad campaign for a NEW pizza that has more tomatoes in it's sauce and more herbs and seasonings in the crust.  …
