In my stomach, out of this world!

I, along with a great deal of Californians, love In-N-Out. Even though it is considered to be fast food, most people refuse to accept this fact and go time after time to eat their burgers, fries, and shakes.

There is something so Californian about In-N-Out, and me, being a huge fan of all things Californian, totally buy into this. Every time I see an In-N-Out, I am reminded of high quality, friendly faces, and an unforgettable experience.

In-N-Out's menu, as most know, is exceptionally limited, listing only a burger, cheeseburger, "Double-Double," fries, sodas, and shakes. Despite that, I still have some favorites that are worth mentioning:
  • Animal Fries: They're like the icing on the cake when you order them with a burger. It's a normal serving of fries topped with cheese, grilled onions, and their special sauce (which closely resembles Thousand Island dressing). It's on the secret menu, so you won't see it listed and you'll have to be specific when ordering. For most, Animal Fries could be a meal in itself, but hey, when in Rome... well, you know the rest!(Approximately 560 calories)
  • Neapolitan shake: In-N-Out can make anything you could think of. I even know someone who ordered onions in their vanilla shakes! But this one, which combines strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla is my favorite. It, like its Animal Fries cousin, is unlisted so you'll have to request it when ordering. (690 calories)
  • Cheeseburger: In-N-Out cheeseburgers aren't that large, but they are consistent in quality and are quite filling. The buns are grilled, providing a nice contrast against the juicy and tender beef patty that awaits your tongue! (480 calories)
All of their items are always made with the freshest ingredients and will never get old in my book. So far as I live in the West, In-N-Out will continue to receive a substantial portion of my paychecks!

Animal-Style fries are amongst the greatest fast food creations/sides ever made! I dunno what it is about dousing typical greasy fries in such rich fattiness that elevates them to entire new levels of greasy greatness, but these things are every bit as heavenly as I'd hoped they would be upon my first taste. And thank goodness someone passed along the whole ''secret menu" option my way or else I likely never would've been introduced to these decadant delights paired with an equally sinful Naepolitan shake. Mmmm...a trip to In-n-Out every time I hit the West coast has become a requirement for this otherwise health-concious Southern gal, and the animal style fries are just the proverbial icing on that cupcake. ;-)

I Could Eat A #2 Everyday For the Rest of My Life!
If you need to know the definition of perfection, going to In N Out would be a good place to start. I have never had a bad experience at this "fast food chain, everytime I eat here it's "the best burger I've ever had," not to mention, the price is right!      I think In N Out's success can be attributed to a few key qualities of the chain:       1. It's privateley owned, allowing them to keep a careful eye on every location …

In-N-Out
This review was written because today my boyfriend and I went to In-N-Out. So what is the significance of that? Well, I freakin' LOVE In-N-Out burgers! I'm very partial to fast food in general; always picky after watching the documentary Super Size Me ... but I just can't get over how delicious this fast food chain actually is. And honestly, I'm not very fond of hamburgers; so usually when I do have to go to some fast food place I always order the wraps or something else.     The …

You come here for burgers people.
In N Out was something I grew up around and never fully experienced.  It would be sometime before I would get to try one again and when I did I wondered where those lost meal opportunities went toward?      Best burger on the planet?  Could just be.  Lets see...McDonalds and White Castle?  Don't make me gut laugh!  Hardee's and Burger King?  No way.  Every town has it's own good local burger chain but nope sorry not even those.  …

It is not an overstatement to say that In 'n' Out burger has achieved So Cal icon status.   In 'n' Out recently celebrated its 60th anniversary and they haven't aged a bit!  Same delicious food and great service that I remember getting back in the '70s and same great value for your money!   The first place I think of to take a recently-arrived-in-L.A. foreigner (especially those that hail from Japan) is In 'n' Out.  Why?  Because …

Carl's, Sonic, Jack, Mickey D's... they all pale in comparison to the beauty we call In-N-Out.    In-N-Out uses all fresh ingredients--from the soft bread to the fresh tomatoes and lettuce, from the awesome beef to the "special sauce" (we all know it's Thousand Island).    In-N-Out was only a Southern California luxury until it expanded to parts of Nevada and Arizona.  Sure, we lost a key part of what made California what it is... but I guess we can share.  …
