At Ted's Montana Grill, authenticity is a way of life, and has been from the very beginning. From the menu to the mission, this classic American grill has built its foundation on providing fresh-made comfort food within a turn-of-the-century Montana grill atmosphere, all while being environmentally responsible.
How It All Began
In an effort to stop the extinction of buffalo, also called American bison, co-founders Ted Turner and George McKerrow Jr. joined forces and founded a restaurant designed to increase the overall population of the American bison – Ted's Montana Grill. The pair opened their first restaurant in January 2002 with a focus on introducing America to the health and taste benefits of bison within an extensive menu of classic American foods. Using bison raised on Turner's ranches, as well as other bison ranches, Ted's Montana Grill proudly began serving naturally raised bison, a nutritious, lean meat rich in iron and considered a healthy alternative to other meats. Containing less fat, cholesterol and calories than beef or chicken, bison became the perfect choice for an increasingly health-conscious society.
A Classic American Grill
