Games that need to be remade

Xcom: UFO Defense
If you haven't played Xcom, good luck trying to find a copy that will work on a modern computer. Xcom was single handily the greatest strategy game ever created, exceeding even Civilization 2. You take on a group of aliens, build bases, invade territory, steal technology. This game had so much potential. All someone would need to do is update the sprites, add a couple more weapons, ships, and races, and let it work on modern computers, and they could create the greatest remake ever.
Master of Magic was Civilization 2 years before civilization 2 existed. Instead of technology, you researched magic. You cast spells and create powerful world effects, creature effects, and city effects. You attract hero's to your cause and then battle it out to take down enemy wizards. This was truly a great game. People have made "similar games", but they always cut out the best parts that made master of magic that hidden gem.

A Remake list couldn't be complete without one of the greatest games every made, Final Fantasy 7. We all know it will eventually get remade whenever squaresoft finds themselves in a lull period, but that day should be sooner rather than later. Come on, bring us our FF7.
Twisted Metal
I am not talking about all the various part 2's, 3's, 4's, and Blacks, I am talking about going back to their routes. This generation of gaming hasn't seen a particularly good car on car violence game. Bring back the jovial funness that was the original Twisted Metal, versus the deranged outlook of twisted metal black. Add races, minigames, and all the other things that Twisted Metal always seemed to leave out. P.S. Apparanty Twisted Metal is coming to PS3, so wheeee!
Before The Sims took over the whole sim universe, we had the likes of simcity, simtower, and simants. Of them, simants ran supreme. Be an ant, take over the yard, these were your goals. I miss being an ant. Yes, your queen wears army boots indeed.
What can I say, I loved my sim games. SimTower allowed you to build escalators, elevators, lobbies, and a million other things as you grew to a 100 stories tall. Great game.
A stranger from current times gets sucked through a vortex to ancient midevil times. Sounds awesome! I would love to see Ultima back on shelves in a updated version. Enough of this FPS RPG, I want my sprite back, in updated format, with the go anywhere, do anything mentality.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Don't get too defensive, San Andreas was the greatest game. Had they just added a new storyline, updated the graphics, and maybe tossed in a feature of two, GTA 4 would have been perfect. They didn't, and I attest to this day that they should reconcile their mistake.
Yes, we are waiting on Diablo 3... still waiting.
Yes, this game is in fact a remake of an even earlier game, but where the game could of been one of the funnest games ever created, keeping your crew's moral constantly satisfied and the ticking clock that was your old age hampered my enjoyment. It needs to be remade, added to, and allowing you a more free range. Having my crew mutiny every time I didn't find a secret treasure ever 30 minutes was annoying. If they were paid a monthly salary or something, that would be an acceptable substitute....
