Douglas Adams was a brilliant English writer (11 March 1952 – 11 May 2001) who wrote Great books which combined humour, science fiction, philosophy, mystery and insightful social commentary. He was highly intellectual with a twisted sense of humour which combined in a marvelous blend in his books.
This is his most famous work which started as a radio play, later turned into five novels and one short story, also a TV series was made, a computer game and then finally a movie.
Douglas Adams wrote two detective novels about Dirk Gently. These books are also truly funny and full of great comments about live the universe and everything.
This book contains an unfinished manuscript and a collection of articles. Published posthumously.

What a wonderulf list! How sad that we had to lose such a great talent at such a young age! I think there's another book though--something like "Starship Titanic," if I'm not mistaken. I haven't been able to find a copy so maybe I'm wrong on that one.

Yes but that was based on an idea by DA but written by Terry Jones.

I didn't know that. I just finished poking around a little bit and found another confusing reference to it. It seems that there's another out of print version of the same title and Adam's same idea, but it was written by Robert Sheckley.
Nice! I didn't know there were so many variations of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. We've got plenty of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans on Lunch! :)
