   I am one of the few people who don't see to love the Hyperion series.  This first in the series is pretty solid but overall I find the entire series disjointed and uneven.

This is a very entertainng read - well constructed and thought out science fiction which ranks it up there with "Dune" and "Ender's Game". What is particularly appealing is the way each character unfolds their story as their pilgrimage progresses, with each story very different but equally as interesting.
