This is one of my favorite sf books. Because of all its influence, it might seem cliche, but one has to remember that this book is what the cliche references. Its prose shows the raw poetic might of Gibson's writing. His outcast and outlaw characters are awesome, though shallow when compared to the characters that William Gibson will create in future works. I loved the psy-war white noise screech attack on Sense/Net, the William Burroughs style handles for names such (Panther Moderns, Dixie Flatline, …
