Stephanie's Favourite Movies: Inception      What's wrong with this movie? Nothing, that's what. This is a perfect movie, there's nothing wrong with it. I appreciated that it wasn't pandering to the lowest common denominator like most summer blockbusters do. It actually took a few brain cells to keep up with it. Of course, you don't have to be a genius to watch it and enjoy it, but you have to be kind of smart to understand it. It's that rare summer …

Inception is a rare breed of movie. Firstly, it came out in July and thus can classify as a summer blockbuster, and secondly, it does not insult the intelligence of the audience and actually takes a few brain cells to keep up with it. It's incredibly well-acted, it has an original story in a time when they are becoming harder and harder to come by, and it's a movie that will definitely be apperciated come awards time. It will probably win more awards for its technical accomplishments, and …

I just came home from seeing Inception about an hour ago.  I think that the first thing I heard as the credits started running sums up the experience: "what the &!*#??"      Leonardo DiCaprio plays Dom, an expert at getting inside of peoples' minds (through dreaming) and stealing their secrets (known as extraction).  He has a team who help him with this, and his clients are often leaders of some of the largest and wealthiest corporations on Earth.  …

Since his impressive debut, Following, Christopher Nolan has proven himself time and time again to be one of the boldest, most original voices in Hollywood. Whether he's applying his impressive storytelling prowess and clear direction to a beloved franchise or working from an original idea, Nolan consistently delivers films that seamlessly work on multiple levels. It's no easy feat.       In my experience, I tend to look at a film's quality based on two different …

Modern movies, when they want to be appear more clever than they actually are, rely on the famous twist ending. The problem is, most of them can be seen miles away. Even before I'd seen the movie and was only roughly aware that is was one of those enter a dream/mind movies, I was expecting an ambiguous ending that could swing either way (woke up or not). What I wasn't expecting was just how entertaining the movie is. For some people the movie will probably end up as one of those mind-blowing …

The idea of the real reality has always fascinated me. What makes reality real and in who's perception is it real? Leonardo DiCaprio plays Cobb in the movie and he goes into people's dreams to steal thier secretes but in their dreams he has to worry about his memories that are trying to brake free from his mind. This movie is just another great example of how twisted reality and dreams can be. You go into the movie thinking that jumping into someone's dream and …

One of the most lauded films of the summer of 2010, INCEPTION is a big, bold, fascinating, gorgeous film that puts the brains of the audience to work. Unfortunately, it doesn't really stir the heart very much. But you'll be hard-pressed to find a more technically assured movie. Or a movie with such an attractively diverse cast. It's a film that isn't afraid to be rich, even dense, with plot. It has creativity coming out of its pores. It is pretty engrossing throughout (though I'd say it is about …

More please...
This movie was ok except for the ending. In my opinion it was rushed for the amount of time they spent building up the story in the beginnining. The end was almost as if they wanted to mess with your head and you have to decide if its over or not. That personally annoyed me a bit when I left the theaters. As always however emotions are best lived in the moment, so if you want to see a ok movie for twenty plus bucks and enjoy annoying endings; run to the theater now and buy a …

It's known that, while dreams are thought to be reflections of the subconscious, they follow no logical pattern and cannot be explained in definite terms. What fascinates me endlessly about Christopher Nolan's "Inception" is that, while he continuously challenges the audience by toying with perceptions of reality, he sets up dreams and dream states under amazingly intricate rules - every action has a name and a function, every image has a label. What the dreamer envisions can be freely manipulated, …

Possibly the best movie I've ever seen! Joseph Gordon-Levitt was hands down the breakout (I don't know if I could even say breakout) star of this movie!

rating it down as far as I can cos I don't think it deserves a +5. The impressed feelings will fade eventually. It was less clever than Matrix, the graphics just stunned you. It's like hypnotizing chickens.

I wanted to be entertained, and I was entertained. I was also impressed by some of the graphics. I thought it got a little slow toward the end, but it generally had everything I could want from a summer blockbuster. Also, will Leonardo DiCaprio ever age? It's kind of creepy how he doesn't change.

What an amazing movie. One of the best I have ever seen! I heard it took him 8 years to develop it, and you can tell a lot of love went into this! MASTERPIECE!

I LOVED this movie and will buy it when it comes out. It is very difficult to make this type of movie logical so that the audience will understand all of the layers going on and they did a beautiful job. The soundtrack was also moving! I just cannot express how much I loved this movie. I recommend it to anyone!

Looking forward to seeing this in theaters. When was the last time Nolan has disappointed? http://lunch.com/t/1bbv
