First book in a series of three. WONDERFUL! Could hardly put this one down.

It's been years since I've read The Crystal Singer. Good write-up.
Killashandra Ree was a trained musician with one problem--no job and no prospects. Then she heard of a place called the Heptite Guild on the planet Ballybran, an enclave for trained artists of all types. Gathering all of her resources, she journeys there and discovers the allure of the addictive Black Crystal.
