Simply a melody, one as beautiful as this, will bring you back to a time when life is hopeful and blissful. I know, I sound like I had some terminal illness or something. No, not really. My friend does. However, that's not the point of writing this review.
Raymond Lefevre is a name that I had almost forgotten. Until I was writing a review about Pierre Porte, another musician who like Raymond Lefevre has a few compositions which I couldn't help but fall in love with. To say it in a more complex way, I would not have known life to be so wonderful if not for what they had instill in me.
Lefevre has passed away in 2008 but his music has stayed with all of us who have had heard it. This is for you, Raymond! Thanks for the best of times and music. La Leine De Saba (Queen of Sabah) = Raymond Lefevre as far as I'm concerned. For some of you it might have been Concerto pour une voix or Ame Caline. Whatever it is, it is the best music of our lifetime! Cheers!!!
The best music are those that bring you beyond your realm of reality and away to a world beyond that of your own. It expands, it enhances and it deepens your connections... with yourself, with your friends and with the world!
