Pierre Porte is a French composer. He has an orchestra named after him, the Pierre Porte Orchestra. I first heard him in the era of Richard Clayderman and that's some 2 decades ago. Pierre Porte music is mostly found only in Japan & Europe since I've never actually come across his music on other made CDs. In fact, I've only one of his collections and have had no idea where to get his other compilations.
Youtube.com comes to the rescue! That's the beauty of social media! Truly amazing, the kind of works one can come across in Youtube. Perhaps one day Lunch.com would come to that too! Anyhow, I found what I was looking for and hence, the idea for this review.
Pierre Porte has some of the most awesome compositions I've ever heard and even though it's been a long time, it has lingered on in my mind.
A Treat for you. Hear for yourself...
Passionnement is my all time favorite. Love it!
Tears of Sorrow
NB: Pierre Porte, as with Raymond Lefevre, is more easy listening music than new age. However, I've decided to include them in the New Age & Operatic community rather than to build another community for this as I'm running out of time as I've many other priorities which I need to attend to. Hope you don't mind!
