A Quick Tip by Sharrie

Its exterior looks like snake skin, hence also known as snake fruit. Best is Salak Bali & Pondoh. Crunchy & unlike anything you've had.

A distinctive fruit which I've only found in Indonesia & Malaysia. They have been exported to some other Asian countries like Singapore, Hong Kong & China. Try it if you come across it. Salak Bali & Salak Pondoh (sometimes, Pondok) are best.
