Singapore Airlines & some regional airlines from Singapore and Hong Kong have suspended flights to Jakarta due to the ashes from this eruption (still continuous) which may have had one of engines from the Qantas A380 (flight from Sydney) exploded midair last week. Recent and continuous Mt. Merapi eruptions have caused grounded all flights in Yogyakarta. As recent as this week, 2 flights from Australia had experienced trouble in the air. Whether it is due to the ashes from eruptions is still unclear. However, travels to this area is no safe for now.      Major airlines from Singapore have cancelled all flights to Jakarta on Saturday (Nov. 6) due to ashes from the eruptions.
