If you're interested in making Singapore your destination or home, this is the place for you to post your concerns and read about others' experiences in Singapore.
One of the more worthy tourist attractions in Singapore. It cost a mere US$4 to enter and one can easily spend a full day in it if you love orchids. It is located within the compound of the Botanical Garden although the latter is free to enter. Lots of joggers within the garden and a huge retreat within a tiny city like Singapore. I been here more than 3x and love it. Its visitors … more
A commercial garden (more like a park considering its size) recently built near the casino which is best viewed and photographed in the night. A newly popular tourist attraction in Singapore and had the Prince and Princess of Cambridge as visitors this morning. Annual pass is available for both locals and tourists. Unless you go visit more than 3x a year, it's not worth getting one. Also, most of … more

Sharrie posted a Quick Tip about Raffles Hotel.
September 12, 2012
Where celebrities & visiting head of states usually put up. Not my cup of tea but it's a historical hotel. Monroe & Jackson were once visitors and today, it has the UK royalties as its guests of honor!
This is some seriously awesome stuff! There was a Singaporean restaurant in the Philippines that I thought made it quite well; since Pinoys love rice, it also came with a bottomless serving of Jasmine rice. I could eat tons of this stuff!

Some incredible images of the SkyPark from the net. If you haven't seen these before, you'd definitely want to go on top it now, don't you? Well, enjoy your virtual trip and if you do make a trip to Singapore in near future, make sure you don't miss your chance of taking some spectacular pictures around this latest tourist … more
The latest tourist attraction in Singapore atop the Marina Bay Sands Casino & Hotel. The view from up here is awesome and the wow factor lies in the hotel's swimming pool which overlooks the entire Singapore CBD skyline! Go up around 6 pm to get a great day shot, 30 mins later the sunset shot and another 30 mins later the night shot! … more
I was visiting last week for The Treasures of Vacheron Constantin which exhibits some 170+ antique watches at the basement of the National Museum of Singapore. An excellent exhibit, not to mention its free admission! A great way to spend the hot afternoon in Singapore!

BaronSamedi3 posted a Quick Tip about Lime.
June 14, 2011
Another one of the underrated flavors, lime gives a sweet shot of flavor in a lot of things without the tang of a lemon. It goes well in a lot of things, and can be an unexpectedly pleasant ingredient in a lot of foods in which you wouldn't otherwise expect to see a fruit. Actual lime is beneficial for health, so if you add lime, be sure it isn't an imitation.
Newest fleet of planes & the most on-time airline I've traveled on. Commonly known as SQ or SIA in Asia, Singapore Airlines is the most profitable airline in the world. It holds a good safety record and good value if you buy your tickets outside Singapore itself! Don't ask me why but it certainly feels like dumping to me for some reason. Never mind that, as a customer, you can be rest … more
The Singapore Botanic Gardens is the best free tourist attraction in Singapore. It houses a huge selection of orchids in the Orchids Garden within its compound. If flower is your thing, this is a must! Entrance to the Orchids Garden is not free though but it's worth the price. The last time I was there many years ago was $5 but I'm not sure how much it charges now.

Sharrie posted a Quick Tip about Jurong Bird Park.
April 30, 2011
Jurong Bird Park is the best tourist attractions in Singapore. It is highly interesting to visit the park housing some 4600 birds. In my experience of visiting the many tourist attractions in Singapore, this one stands apart from the rest even surpassing the recently opened Universal Studios and the more popular Night Safari. Despite the heat and humid climate in Singapore, … more

Sharrie posted a Quick Tip about Night Safari.
April 30, 2011
One of Singapore's most popular tourist destination. Frankly, I didn't see many animals when I visited years ago although I do know it's a highly popular one for many tourists. The statistics is that at least 1 million visits every year. Night Safari is the 1st nocturnal zoo in the world and has been in operation since 1994. Remember to bring along mosquito repellent … more

Sharrie posted a Quick Tip about SilkAir.
April 14, 2011
A subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, this airline now suffers in sales after the influx of budget airlines. It used to charge much less than Singapore Airlines and got quite a bit of business from travelers. But with the introduction of many low cost airlines flying to exactly the same destinations as it is flying, many travelers have opted for different choices! SilkAir flies … more
An old friend of mine drove me here for dinner on my last trip to Singapore. It's actually right across from where I used to live as a child. The restaurant is just a few shops away from Lana Cake Shop and is a little difficult to get to if you don't have a car. Otherwise, it's a nice bistro with great selection of fishes, some from as far as Alaska! Nice ambiance and great service too! … more

Most luxurious cruise liner I've been on. The rooms are all suites and the dining experience is simply marvelous! If there is one dream anyone could have, it is to travel around the world in Silversea Cruises for an entire year! Absolutely a breathtaking experience!
My flight from Singapore to LA was absolutely amazing. I did not even want to get off the plane! The staff is super helpful and friendly, and you are treated very well.
When I tried this place (visiting Singapore) it wasawesome. Soft as a cloud, slightly sweet bread with a bunch of different fillings. Perfect for any mood.
