If I Could Only Listen To 5 Bands For The Rest of My Life They Would Be....

I was driving up to the river to go camping this weekend and thinking, 'what bands would I choose if they were the only bands that I could ever listen to again?' The list actually turned out to be pretty easy but I am still wondering where The Beatles and Pearl Jam are!
Rolling Stones
The Stones are, well, The Stones. They have a ton of albums and have done a range of styles. Take your pick, Sticky Fingers, Let It Bleed, Exile on Main St, Goats Head Soup, Beggar's Banquet and the list of classics goes on and on.
The Who
Who's Next is certainly one of the greatest rock records of all time - Baba O'Reilly, Won't Get Fooled Again, Bargain, My Wife, Love Ain't For Keeping, Behind Blue Eyes and those are just off of this one album. Add in Tommy and Quadrophenia and you have years worth of enjoyment.
Led Zeppelin
They have the blues on the first album, then get heavy on Led Zep II, go acoustic with Led Zep III, create a perfect song on Led Zep IV (even if Stairway is over played, you have to admit that it is pretty much a perfect song), have a great rock record with Houses of The Holy and then go in a different direction with Presence (and lets not forget Coda). They set out to blend light and dark and they did it. Great stuff.
the allman brothers
A great band that can jam and a fantastic set of songs - not to mention the greatest slide guitar player ever in Duane Allman. Throw in Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks in the latest version of the band and you have 40 years of fun - not to mention a lot of live recordings.
An outsider that a lot of you may not have heard of. They are huge in Canada and can sell out Canada's equivalent of Madison Square Garden for multiple nights in a row. Down here in the US, they play bars because people don't know who they are. Funny thing is, those bars are packed with Canadians who fly down so they can see the band play in venues that hold hundreds rather than thousands.

What did you think of this list?

Great list. I gotta admit I'm surprised that Pearl Jam didn't find it's way onto this list. Now I'm just as interested in who just missed the cut...
